Online Yoga Classes with Dylan

Yoga and You...Perfect Together

It has taken the pandemic to get me online and I would love it if you joined me.  All of my classes are 'all levels'.  I teach yoga like connect the dots, everyone can start at #1 and if you are breathing normally you go to #2 and so forth to infinity (and beyond). So from the beginner to the advanced has a fun challenge.

We will start with meditation, breath work and a nice yoga flow class. So you may go the rest of your day more relaxed and centered. Requirements are the desire to do yoga and a sense of humor.

Dylan's gifts as a yoga instructor are many. Most importantly is his ability to articulate how to correctly move into, align and extend poses, so you'll improve your form and strength greatly. Every class feels fresh and different with Dylan. He is a wonderful combination of funny, inspiring, and down-to-earth. He's addictive in the best possible way for your yoga practice.

Dylan is a master teacher: He walks us through the poses step by step so that we learn the proper form; he mixes things up so that classes are never boring; and although we take the yoga seriously, the classes are fun. In particular, I appreciate Dylan's patience with me, an old beginner. No matter how small or how large the class, Dylan always provides personal guidance.

Dylan Noebels perform Sun Salutations Variations by Theresa Elliott at Taj Yoga Seattle (starts 04:32)

My intent is to adapt the practice to the individual and make yoga accessible, safe and fun for all. I'm not one to use artificial yoga-speak. Rather, I break yoga down into plain English so that you can gain a greater awareness of your body and mind through proper alignment – one pose at a time, one breath at a time.

Many students come to me with existing chronic issues, such as back pain and anxiety. In all my classes, I provide individual attention. Regardless if you are a beginner or if you have been practicing longer than I have; if you are an athlete or a couch potato, I teach you the skills to expand your yoga practice with confidence into your life.

I got my start with yoga from a roommate’s Basic Yoga for Dummies DVD. I was home alone one day, and I thought, “Hmm, I’ll see what this is all about”. It was easy enough not to frustrate me and I instantly felt taller and just plain better after doing it. I was hooked from that first moment - over 15 years ago.

Soon after, I immersed myself in studying yoga, first on my own by diving into The Complete Illustrated Book of Yoga by Swami Vishnu-Devananda. Then later, I found a real life teacher in Theresa Elliott, with whom I studied for nearly a decade, eventually completing my 500-hour advanced teacher training with Theresa and Kathryn Payne at Pacific Yoga Teacher Training in Seattle.

I knew that it was my job to teach yoga before ever actually taking a class, because I had gained so much from it. Somewhere along the line I even lost that impending sense of doom I was walking around with. A huge key to sustaining a lifelong yoga practice: start with poses that make you want to do it again, not poses that frustrate you.

For over 12 years, I have taught throughout King County, at studios in ShorelineSeattle and Federal Way. I have also led yoga for teens at Seattle's YouthCare, workplace yoga at Bellevue College and a corporate law firm. I have co-led yoga teacher-training programs at Richmond Beach Yoga and Three Trees Yoga. I am thrilled to share what I have learned with vets through volunteering with the Veterans Yoga Project.

I'm eternally grateful to the many students who entrust their yoga practice with me and laugh at my jokes in the classroom.

Dylan was probably my favorite teacher mainly because he allows you to NOT take yoga so seriously. He clearly loves his practice and is extremely knowledgeable, and there are many more qualities to him as a teacher than just his relaxed approach, but when he referred to one of the less standard poses as "some-kind-of-asana," he totally won me over.

I have primarily been attending Dylan's hatha and vinyasa classes for the last several months. Dylan's laid-back style of teaching belies a deep knowledge of anatomy, yoga philosophy, and the asanas. I have learned a lot from his hatha and vinyasa classes, especially regarding correct form and alignment - lessons I have incorporated into my daily home practice.
